. the us vs them
- 100 years - what is the meaning

2 commercials that ran that were weird
duma key- the stephen king book- it said return not guaranteed
It would be impossible to convey the wonder and the horror of Stephen King's latest novel in just a few words. Suffice it to say that Duma Key, the story of Edgar Freemantle and his recovery from the terrible nightmare-inducing accident that stole his arm and ended his marriage, is Stephen King's most brilliant novel to date (outside of the Dark Tower, in which case each is arguably his best work). Duma Key is as rich and rewarding as Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption (yes, that Shawshank Redemption) and as truly scary as anything King has saying. Readers who have always wanted to try Stephen King but never known where to start should try a few pages of Duma Key--the frankness with which Edgar reveals his desperate, sputtering rages and thoughts of suicide is King at the top of his game. And that's just the first thirty pages...

jack, locke, and others have attempted suicide. jack's marriage ending!

and right before that was the hawaii tourism commercial check out the shot of the guy looking thru the rearview mirror- LOOKING GLASS WHY is their site still down if in the flash forwards, oceanic is back in business offering frequent fliers to the survivors.

i'm trying to stay awake for this damn commercial but don't want to sit thru eli stone!

shout out to doug & dan berman for sending these earlier today:

here's the comment from rob on matthew's last name avaddon:

Abaddon (Hebrew אבדון Avaddon, meaning "destruction"). In Biblical poetry (Job 26:6; Proverbs 15:11), it comes to mean "place of destruction", or the realm of the dead, and is associated with Sheol. Abaddon is also one of the compartments of Gehenna.[1] By extension, it can mean an underworld abode of lost souls, or hell.
